West Belfast - Paul Maskey
Married with two children, Paul has represented Sinn Féin in the Upper Falls Ward since 2001 in Belfast City Council.
Paul is the current leader of the Sinn Féin team in Belfast City Council. He has worked tirelessly over the years to ensure that west Belfast is resourced accordingly. Paul has been fundamental to developing West Belfast as a tourism destination.
Paul showed great determination and persistence with his successful campaign in halting the proposed asbestos transfer site in the heart of west Belfast.
Paul is a member of the Andersonstown Martyrs Sinn Féin Cumann and is very active within the community sector in Upper Falls.
He is a Board member of the Upper Andersonstown Community Forum, Greater Andersonstown Neighbourhood Partnership, represented on a number of resident associations within the area and has been instrumental in the re-establishment of the Friends of the Falls Park.
Paul states that he is proud and honoured to represent Sinn Féin at any level and if elected to the assembly he will endeavour to deliver a fair society for all the people of the North of Ireland and will lobby very aggressively for the people of Andersonstown in particular.
