What we are about

The B.C.A.T.P.

The British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP), often referred to as simply "The Plan", was a massive, joint military aircrew training program created by the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, during the Second World War..

Harvard Aircraft

The Harvard is probably the best known and most successful training aircraft of World War II.  It was from the “Pilot Maker” that the youth of the free world graduated to fly single-engine fighter aircraft and is sometimes referred to as the “Yellow Peril”.

Flying Museum

The mission of the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association is to acquire, preserve, restore, maintain, display and demonstrate the Harvard and other training aircraft associated with the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF).

Training Courses

With the help of our sponsors we are able to offer courses in Side Scan Sonar, Search Grid Planning and ROV Operator & Maintenance.  Being part of the team gives you the opportunity to learn new skills.

Aircraft Searches

We have a number of ongoing searches for RCAF aircraft lost in the Great Lakes around Ontario, Canada.  All active members are encouraged to get involved with our training and participating with our searches.

Research

We provide research support about crashed RCAF aircraft and to those searching for RCAF aircraft lost in Canada. Our focus is on aircraft lost while flying as part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan.
