| Document Browsing | Supports full text searching of documents by metadata, contents or document properties. Documents are shown individually, as a list, a list of recently accessed documents, as organized by the user in his personal virtual folders or automatically grouped by the application based on metadata grouping rules. Documents previews and full views are available for as many file formats as the selected conversion backend is enabled: Graphicsmagick (http://www.graphicsmagick.org/formats.html) or Imagemagick (http://www.imagemagick.org/script/formats.php) as well a initial support for office documents using LibreOffice in server mode. Users can also select a text view of the contents extracted or transcribed via automatic OCR from the original document. | ||||||||

| File Upload and MetaData | Supports document insertion manually via an upload dialog form or by means of a staging folder, both view are optimized to support mass upload of documents. New documents can also automatically inherit the metadata of existing documents to speed up uploads. Metadata types are defined via an administration panel from inside the application and can range from simple text fields to complex calculated lookup combo boxes (python expressions are supported). Metadata "bundles" can also be defined, by means of used defined document classes. |
