A man was stabbed during an alleged robbery in North London yesterday morning (Monday, May 5). Police and paramedics were called to Seven Sisters Road, which runs through Islington, Hackney and Haringey, just before 12:50am to reports of a theft.

A 50-year-old man was found at the scene with a single knife wound. He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, where he remains in a stable condition.

The Metropolitan Police has confirmed his injuries are not life-threatening. An investigation into the incident is now underway and enquiries are ongoing.

No one has been arrested in connection to the stabbing as of yet. Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting 259/5May.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to the scene of a reported robbery in Seven Sisters Road, N4 at 00:48hrs on Monday, 5 May. A 50-year-old man was treated at the scene for a stab wound and was later taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.

"He remains there in a stable condition - his injuries are confirmed to be non-life-threatening. No arrests have been made at this stage. Enquires continue."
