Scott Rasmussen's Number of the Day
May 9, 2025: Eighty percent (80%) say protecting Social Security and Medicare benefits is very important. A Napolitan News Service national survey conducted by RMG Research found only 4% say it is not very important.
The survey also found 53% say it is likely they will receive all of their promised social security benefits. Of this 53%, 23% say it is very likely. Thirty-seven percent (37%) say it is not likely they will receive their social security benefits, while 13% say it is not at all likely.
Methodology
The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on April 23-24, 2025. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
