‘F1’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Atlantic Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the action sports drama F1. The album features songs by artists such as Ed Sheeran, RAYE, Tate McRae, Burna Boy, ROSÉ, Dom Dolla, Roddy Rich, Chris Stapleton, Tiësto, Myke Towers, Sexyy Red, Madison Beer, Peggy Gous & others. F1 The Album will be released digitally and physically (on CD, vinyl and cassette) on June 27. Visit Amazon to pre-order and the soundtrack in all four formats. A first song (Lose My Mind  produced by Ryan Tedder, performed by Don Toliver feat. Doja Cat and featuring a sample of the F1 Movie Theme by the film’s composer Hans Zimmer) has already been released as a digital single (check out the official music video after the jump). F1 is directed by Joseph Kosinski and stars Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies and Kim Bodnia. The Apple Studios production, which tells the story of FORMULA 1’s most promising phenom of the 1990s until an accident on the track nearly ended his career, will be released in theaters nationwide on June 27 by Warner Bros. Pictures.

    This album track list seems intriguing, but I couldn’t find any reference to Zimmer’s samples. It would be great to hear how his work influenced the overall sound. The track titles suggest a mix of different styles and themes. I’m curious about the creative process behind this album. Do you know if Zimmer was directly involved in any of the tracks?
